Bridge Jumpers 2009 page two
I had a lot of fun making these photographs. I have wanted to photograph the lake happenings for a long time. Digital camera's and the internet have made it much easier.
A guest book will be added soon. it is OK to right click these images to your hard drive for personal non commercial usage.

In memory of Robert. (A lot of the local bridge jumpers knew this guy.)
Robert died in late June from cancer. He was a fixture at "129 Grocery", spending most of his waking hours there. He knew almost everybody's name, and spoke to them when they came in or past him on the old bench out side.
A lot of the local children got a candy bar, or an ice cream paid for by Robert, and he was often a soft touch for a small loan. I saw a lot of them run to Robert and give him a hug when they came in, and he remembered their names.
Robert drove an old 1980 green and silver Dodge truck, almost like the one I drive. But Robert had placed a large bra on the front grill. The bra was given to Robert by one of the store's female employees.
I use to like to watch the traveling through women's faces when they got out of their new car's and walked past the front of his truck on the way into the store. Their look of shock, and disapproval, brought a quick smile to Roberts face.
To Robert's left is Levi Brewer, Lawrence Davis, and Jessie. I have forgotten the guys name on Roberts left, but I will get it soon and list it here.
Robert will be remembered for a long time.

A big thanks to every one that allowed me to photograph them. I use to be on the lake a lot in the mid 1960's, then again in the early 1980's . Being on the bridge with you brought back a lot of memories.
